Noted fashion designerChandrakant Golani ,a leading fashion designer from vadodara still recollects the days of his past when he presented his first show in the city in 1993 with the innovative tantrik look being the main attraction of the show that casted a spell on the onlookers. After festivals like Navaratri it a common site find the so-called designer outfits popping out from shops. People nowadays, he believes just want to slip into the dress sported by their favourite icon and endorsed by some movie.people prefer to wear something loud and glittering for gatherings or parties.
He admits with a sigh,that the fashion craze of people trying to imitate their favourite actors,is putting a halt to the balance between the art of designing and the commercial aspect in the fashion scenario.but he strongly believes that there are still sensible people around who will value the artistic aspect more .
